Pastor J. Alfred Johnson II, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serves as Director of Adult Ministries (Sabbath School, Personal Ministries, Personal Ministries) for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.
He comes, having previously served as Mid-America Union Conference Executive Secretary, Central States Conference President, Allegheny East Conference Personal Ministries, Prison Ministries, Community and Inner City Services Director, and in Pastorates of Congregations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and Kansas -- that have ranged in membership from thirteen to thirteen-hundred.
A 2006 Inductee into the Martin Luther King, Jr. Board Of Preachers at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, this exclusive product of Seventh-day Adventist Christian Education is also blessed to minister as a Published Author, Certified Strategic Planning Facilitator, and Certified Pre-Marriage Educator. 2011 marks his celebration of thirty-eight consecutive years in Seventh-day Adventist Ministry/Employment.
Under the Ministry Mission Statement, “Sharing with colleagues in the facilitation of the corporate movement of our people from Membership To Discipleship,” he lives to share the principles of God’s Kingdom, and news of His Second Coming.
Pastor Johnson is married to Paula I. Freeman Johnson, a global Pastor’s Spouse Advocate and Consultant, who is Founder of the Association of Regional Conferences Minister’s Wives. They share the privilege of having parented four adult children; two of whom are Ordained Seventh-day Adventist Pastors; one daughter, a Youth Ministries and Television Production/Direction specialist; and a son who is concluding his college education as a Theology Major.

Zackrison completed a B.A. in Theology from La Sierra University, followed with an M.A. in Religion and graduate work in Educational Administration from Andrews University and an M.A. in Intercultural Studies (with an emphasis on multicultural ministry) and a Doctor of Missiology degree, majoring in Cultural Anthropology and Urban Church Growth, from the Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Missions.
Zackrison’s career has included 20 years as an overseas missionary in the Inter-American Division with assignments in Curacao, Columbia, and Central America. Zackrison has also served as a pastor of diverse congregations in the Netherlands Antilles Mission, Inter-American Division, and North American Division. Zackrison is the former director (retired) of the General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department.
A prolific author, Zackrison has written many articles and books. His works include How to Find and Reach Receptive People, Spiritual Gifts: Keys to Ministry, How to Set Up and Run an Evangelization & Discipleship Cycle in Your Church, and many more.
